She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Carl Parten and Ruth Ione Parten (Mann); her husband John Russell Bright; her children, Mike Bright (Alicia) of Napa, CA., Keith Bright (Kathleen) of Hutchinson, KS, Connie Carey (Bruce) of Sterling, KS., Carol McLeod (Don) of Carthage, MO., Coette Lewis (Robert) of Wichita, KS. and Carmen Hamilton (Steven) of Northville, MI; her sister-in-law Jan Parten; and her brothers, Wayne, Kenneth and Marvin Parten. She was also cherished by 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
