It is with sadness that the passing of Russell Martin Shields (Saint John, Kansas) is shared. Russell, born on November 17, 1955, passed away on September 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Russell will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Russell by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Shields and Jeanette Shields (Steiner); and his brother Scott. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Moore of Shawnee; his son Patrick of St. John; his brother Byron Shields (Amy) of Olathe; and his aunt Joan Steiner-Adler of Olathe.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Minnis Chapel, St. John (526 E 4th Ave, St John, KS 67576). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
