We are sad to announce that on November 28, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Elena Anastasis (Saint Marys, Kansas). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Georgescu and Maria Georgescu. She is survived by: her children, Corneliu Năstase, Basarab Louis Anastasis (Ashley), Rosita Orlandi (Rino), Myriam (late Jake Avancena) and Esmeralda Năstase; and her brother Stelian (Lucretia). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Anastasis' Home (507 W Mission St, St Marys, KS 66536). A rosary was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 5:20 PM at the Immaculata Catholic Church (701 N 2nd St, St Marys, KS 66536). A vigil service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 10:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A requiem service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at the Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
George had to travel far distances to donate most of his crop to the state but it still wasn't good enough.
