She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony "Doan" Hammerbacher and Clara Agnes Hammerbacher (Westhoff); her husband Walter Vitt; her brothers, Frank Kavanagh, Tom Kavanagh and Dennis Kavanagh; and her daughter-in-law Becky Vitt.
She is survived by: her children, Roberta Leon (John) of Leavenworth, Christine Vitt of Columbia, Leo Vitt of Sidney, Theresa Vitt of Leavenworth, Marilyn Lappin (Brian) of Prairie Village, Martin Vitt (Cathy) of Fontana, Marvin Kavanagh of St. Paul, Francis Vitt (Luz Elena) of Erie and Dennis Vitt (Lisa) of St. Paul.
A prayer was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the St. Francis Catholic Church (208 Washington St, St Paul, KS 66771). Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
