He was predeceased by : his parents, Aaron John Ellenz and Marie Cecilia Ellenz (Gasper); and his brother Charles Leroy Ellenz. He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Ann Ellenz (Becker); his son John David Ellenz (Elaine); his grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan and Lauren; his daughter Sandra Kay Wilds (Alan Edward Wilds); his grandchildren, Alexis, Katerina and Devin; and his siblings, Eugene Ellenz (Caroline), Ron Ellenz (Joan), Larry Ellenz (Velma) and Marilyn Ellenz.

A prayer was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the St. Boniface Catholic Church (308 Gambrinus, Tipton, KS 67485). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be given to the Tipton Memorial Trust, TCHS Endowment Fund or Tipton Community Foundation.
