He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Sahlfeld and Thelma Sahlfeld (Peterson); and his sister Trudy Germaine. He is survived by: his wife Melissa (Duensing); his son Baxter Sahlfeld (Kenzie) of Wichita; his granddaughter Millie Sahlfeld; his siblings, Perry Sahlfeld (Bea), Paulette McClintock (Randy) of Beloit and Brenda Bonebrake (Earl) of Beloit; and his brother-in-law Edward Duensing (Amy) of Bucklin, KS. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina Alzheimer's Support Group, Rivercross Hospice, or Comfort Care Newton to support their therapy dog, Willis, all in care of Ryan Mortuary.
