He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold A. Shannon and Catherine Shannon (Karlin); and his siblings, Richard L. Shannon, Caroline A. Burt and Connie May Shannon.
He is survived by: his wife Cecelia Shannon of Salina; his children, Darrel R. Shannon (Rhonda) of Salina and Sheri Pausteiner (Frank) of Arizona; and his grandchildren, Chad Hatfield (Stephanie), Jesse Hatfield (Christina), Nikki Hatfield, Darrel G. Shannon, Dannielle J. Shannon and Dustin Shannon. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many lifelong friends.
