James Lee Farney Obituary
The memory of James Lee Farney of Salina, Kansas, who passed away on July 18, 2025 at the age of 82, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Farney and Viola Farney (Kleck); his son Jeffrey James; his nephew Tyler Farney; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Broadus, Robert Marlow and Lavonne Farney.
He is survived by: his daughter Darcy Lynn (Doug Krier); his wife LaVonne Anderson; his granddaughters, Molly (Lawrence) and Joslynn; his siblings, Robert Farney of Hutchinson, KS, Donna Broadus of Hutchinson, KS and Shirley Marlow of Aurora, CO; his brother-in-law Leland Anderson (Patsy) of DeLand, FL; and his siblings' children, Diane Thompson (Gary), Gayle Fehr (Rick), Janet Marlow, Keva Farney, Debra Lemons (Tim), Wendy Anderson, Jack Farney (Kay), Mark Broadus (Nancy Dye) and David Marlow (Nancy).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ryan Mortuary (137 N 8th St, Salina, KS 67401). A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Mission Hill Cemetery (3936 W Parsons Rd, Lindsborg, KS 67456). A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Covenant Church (2625 E Magnolia Rd, Salina, KS 67401).
