He was predeceased by: his parents, John Emery and Alma Lacy (Braungardt); his wife Margaret C. Wickersham; his daughter Debra Dray; his grandson Stephen Shaw; and his sister Margaret "Peg" Urie.
He is survived by: his daughters, Becky Shaw (Larry) and Kim Hill (Troy); his granddaughter Kelli Radke (Andrew); and his great grandchildren, Reese Radke and Lane Radke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
