With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Owen Hays of Salina, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy John leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Hays and Daisy Hays (Hilleary); his brother Dave; and his brother-in-law Dennis Wilkins. He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean of Salina; his sister Ellen Wilkins of Minneapolis, KS; and his sister-in-law Charlene (Roy Diers) of Hastings, NE. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and friends.
