He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Armstrong and Ruth Armstrong (Mortimer); his siblings, Mary Laas, Jennie Shaver-George, Elaine Bacon, Shirley Clanton, Betty Harden, Fern Bledsoe and Kay Lebert; and his granddaughter Jessica Armstrong.
He is survived by: his wife Veta Base; his children, Rhonda Bacon (Gary) of Barnard and J. W. Armstrong (Lisa) of Brookville; his grandchildren, Jami Simmons (Darin), Kate Armstrong (Kashayla), Cody Bacon (Kaylene) and Ross Armstrong (Erin); his great grandchildren, Mallorie, Madison, Jayce, Rylan, Kayah, Cordell, Canter, Allison, Eloise and Paisley; his great great grandchild Haegen; and his siblings, Robert Armstrong and Charlene Walker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Culver United Methodist Church or Bavaria Cemetery, in care of Ryan Mortuary.
