She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter LeRoy and Julia Rose Gile (Holgerson); her husband Charles Boyd Kempton; her children, Dr. Bruce Allen Kempton and Karen Ruth Kempton; her grandson Kyle Kempton; her great grandchild Patrick Eugene Kempton; and her siblings, Glen Gile, Perry Gile, Aileen Denning, Beth Whitney, Phyllis Gould, Jean Heisley and Marie Nelson.
She is survived by: her son Dr. Douglas Eugene Kempton (Esther) of Salina; her daughter-in-law Marilyn Kempton of Wichita; her grandchildren, Kelli Fangman (Tim), Dr. Chris Miller (Jaime), Ryan Johnston (Candi), Jamie Boese (Shaun) and Jocelyn Holmquist (T. J.); and her great grandchildren, Parker, Thomas, Bailey, Ava, Christopher, Kinsley, Harper, Remi, Nolan and Charley.
