It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Denise (Russell Alvarado) Knerr of Salina, Kansas, who passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Karen farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Karen is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Ricks and Gladys Ricks; and her sister Sue Lynn Bordeaux. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Knerr; her siblings, Betty Jo Kinder (Gene) of Lafayette, LA, Janice Carroll of Alexandria, LA and Gene Ricks; her brother-in-law Tollie Bordeaux of Alexandra, LA; and her pets, Lakota Dawn and Chloe Dee. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews and friends.
