She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Augustine and Delores Augustine (Freitag); and her son Donnie Allison. She is survived by: her husband Darrell Allison of Salina; her children, Ali Wagner (Hollis) of Wichita, Ami Allison of Salina, Angie Allison of Salina, April Allison of Texas and Darren Allison of Park City; her grandchildren, Mia, Rakeen, Haley, Casey, Alyssia, Aliyah, Arianna, Johnathan, Darren and Tishanti; her great grandchildren, Keanu and Isaac; and her siblings, Steve Augustine (Betty) of Hesston, Danny Jo Augustine (Dana) of Overland Park, Janet Augustine of Goodland, Carolyn Augustine of Salina and Marilyn Augustine of Salina.

In lieu of flowers, the family has set up an Honor fund in Karen Allison's memory for donations towards FCE (Family and Community Education).
