Kathleen Rae Burns Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathleen Rae Burns of Salina, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 23, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Wilhelm and Helen Wilhelm (Steinle); and her brother Dale Wilhelm. She is survived by: her husband Jerome of Salina; her children, Darcie Gould (Wes) of Salina and Derek Burns of Salina; her siblings, Debbie McClure (Wayne) of Salina and Donald Wilhem (Sharilyn) of Wilson; her grandchildren, Timothy McGaha (Destiny), Tyler McGaha (Haley), Dorothy Gould, Joshua Gould (Haley), Sofia Burns and Alexcis Barnes-Teschke (Cooper); and her great grandchildren, Leon, Logan McGaha, Waylon, Mason, Taylor and Micah Gould.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (302 S 7th St, Salina, KS 67401).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church – Salina or Kathleen Burns Memorial Fund and may be sent to Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, PO Box 533, Wilson, Kansas 67490.
