He was predeceased by: his father Alfred "Fritz" W. Dechant; his sister Joyce D. Dechant; and his nephew Wade M. Dreiling. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Dechant (Honas); his wife Judy Ann Werth; his sisters, Linda Rohr (Allen), Janice Prater and Marybeth Dreiling (Bruce); his children, Ryan Dechant (Courtney), Tara Dechant, Erica Dechant and Adam Dechant (Chaneil); and his grandchildren, Ashlyn, Ariel, Skylar, Cooper, Finley and Kaidyn Dechant.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church (230 E Cloud St, Salina, KS 67401). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at the All Saints Catholic Cemetery (3350 E Crawford St, Salina, KS 67401).
