He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schmidt and Katherine Schmidt (Briet). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Schmidt (McClellan); his children, Wendell Schmidt (Valorie), Waldeen Schmidt (Melinda), Leah Jayne (Gary) and Linnea King; and his grandchildren, Jessica Sander, Wendy Trujillo, Malorie Tindall, Phillip Schmidt, Janell Shultis, Dustin King and Aaron King.
