She was predeceased by: her father Edward Silhan; and her sister Janet Silhan. She is survived by: her mother Therese Silhan (Hotze); her husband Robert L. Schimmel; her daughters, Carolyn, Tina, Sarah and Courtney (Jeisson); her grandchildren, Derricka (Shon), Keionna, Maniyah, Tevin (Ashlynn), Rylea, Xylah, Ayson and Kyndall; and her great grandchildren, Alakai and Kaylani.
