Michael Porter Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Porter of Salina, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 25, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Porter and Margaret Porter (Dillon); and his brother Tom Porter (Marilyn). He is survived by: his grandchildren, Madison Pattillo (Max), Kayson Durrett (Bradley), Seth, Shane Porter, Jacob Cooper and Rylie Cooper; and his siblings, Doug Porter (Mary), Danny Porter (Dianna) and Joanie Base (Dennis). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ryan Mortuary (137 N 8th St, Salina, KS 67401). A rosary will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church (230 E Cloud St, Salina, KS 67401).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, in care of the Ryan Mortuary.
