It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Barton of Salina, Kansas, who passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Nancy departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Nancy may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Nancy leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Carper and Frances Carper (Lyons); her husband Tom Barton; her sister Neoma Ward; and her son-in-law Greg Salisbury.
She is survived by: her children, Melinda Salisbury of Bennington, Kansas and Brent Barton (Kimberley) of Lawrence, Kansas; her siblings, Carolyn Fisher of Seymour, Illinois and Ron Carper of Seymour, Illinois; and her sister-in-law Gay Brucker (Jim) of Ft. Pierce, Florida. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
