He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hermes and Mary Hermes; his sisters, Mildred Brunner, Victoria Urban and Rita; and his son Jon Hermes.
He is survived by: his sister Lucilla Herman of Broken Arrow, OK; his wife Marlene; and his children, Paul (Jan) of Raymore, MO, Joel (Lisa) of Stilwell, KS, Norbertine, Alphonsus (Brian) of St. Michael, Abbey Silverado and Lori Wilbur (Lee) of Little Rock. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
