Rita Jane Hunter Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2025, at the age of 79, Rita Jane Hunter of Salina, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Rita may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rita touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Peters and Clara Peters (Auer); her husband Jimmy M Hunter (Jim); and her children, Linda Blouch (David) of Kansas City, KS, Betty Cagle of Kansas City, KS, Jeana Gordon of Salina, KS. and Deanna Beckel (John) of Harlan, IA.. She was also cherished by Five grandchildren, Seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ryan Mortuary (137 N 8th St, Salina, KS 67401). A rosary was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Heartland Worship Center (118 S 8th St, Salina, KS 67401). A burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at the All Saints Catholic Cemetery (3350 E Crawford St, Salina, KS 67401).
