He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Seth and Catheryn Morris (Cain); his sister Jeanette Sharpe; and his children, Mary Jane Morris and Joel Benjamin Morris.

He is survived by: his wife Cyndi Morris; and his children, Sarah Catheryn Kempke (Morris), Sally Kaye Martin (Morris), Emily Jane Jarboe (Morris), Abby Ruth Morris and Jill Maria Cook (Morris).

A memorial has been established with Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas.
