He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest John and Ruby Jeanette Tiede (Branstetter); his daughter Kimberly Rummell; his siblings, Leo, Richard, Ray Tiede, Ernestine Butler, Helen Tiede and Jeanette Cribbs; his sisters-in-law, Pat, Velma, Wilma Jean and Cleora; and his stepson Rob Buettgenbach.
He is survived by: his spouse Murietta Buettgenbach; his daughter Shawna Tiede of Wichita; his stepchildren, Brent Buettgenbach (Allison) of Waskam, Texas, Kim Steinert (Marty) of Topeka and Tamra Larzalere (Jim) of Salina; and his brothers, Harold Tiede of Great Bend and James Tiede of Great Bend. He is also survived by five grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; six step great grandchildren.
