Walter Koers Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 28, 2025, at the age of 82, Walter Koers (Salina, Kansas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Koers and Leona Koers; his wife Ginny; his son Todd; his stepmother Norene Koers; his brothers, Doug Fitch and Gary Fitch; his grandson Joseph; and his pets, Chipper, Bruno, Daisy, Meg, Pete, Bull, Dixie and Nicky.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kristi Weiss (Mark) and Shelli Bell (Ed Ploy); his sister Cindy Strohmer (Doug); his grandchildren, Sophie Bell (James Sharpe), Taylor Koers, Matthew Weiss, Leo Bell, Charlie Weiss and Rylee Koers; his close friend Shane Davis; and his friend Max Vandament.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (743 E Magnolia Rd, Salina, KS 67401).
Any memorial contributions can be made to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center (511 South Santa Fe, Suite A, Salina, KS 67401) in Salina in honor of Ginny and Todd.
