She was predeceased by : her parents, Ralph VanGilder and Mary VanGilder (Bishop). She is survived by : her husband Melvin "Sonny" Bourne; her children, Dawn Lackey (Mark) of Lindsborg, KS, Tracy Bourne (Jill) of Colwich, KS and Kris Henning (Todd) of Shawnee, KS; and her siblings, Gail White (late Bill), Linda Ewing (Jerry), Steve VanGilder (Donna) and Jan Hollander (Kevin). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with both the Centralia Community Church, and the Centralia Community Fund.
