He was predeceased by : his parents, Willard Pearson and Lois Pearson (Pinkerton). He is survived by : his wife Peggy Pearson; and his children, Gloria Robinson (Greg), Larry Townsend (Cindy), Stanley Townsend (Tonia) and Lisa Dewees (Rick). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
