She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Bahnmaier and Verna C. Bahnmaier (Knowles); and her brother John Bahnmaier. She is survived by: her children, Steven W. Shaw (Cindy) of Silver Lake, KS, Alan Shaw of Wakarusa, KS and Louann Austin of Silver Lake, KS; her sister-in-law Lanna Bahnmaier of Gladstone, MO; and her grandchildren, Tracy Mercer (Chris), Scott Sloop (Rosie), Justin Shaw (Deb), Shanda Dorsey, Warren Shaw (Emma), Chloe Austin (Christian Blake), Colbe Austin and Claire Austin. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the Silver Lake United Methodist Church, Lecompton Historical Society or Helping Hands Humane Society c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
