We announce the death of Mary Jane Akin of Silver Lake, Kansas, who passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 73. Mary Jane will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Don; her parents, Jim and Henrietta; her brothers, Clyde and Charles; and her granddaughter Gwendolyn Jane.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nikki Thompson (Wes), Tonya Olson (Kevin) and Jacinta Justice (Brandon); her grandchildren, Brodie, Daisey, Brealynn, Grayson, Jackson and Henry; and her siblings, Marvin, Lucille, Mary Jean, Karen, Louise, Phyllis, Fred, Delores, Alice and John. She is also survived by her daughters, family, and friends.
