He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene Sweat and Jean Sweat (Stuckman); and his brother Ron Sweat. He is survived by : his wife Barbara Sweat of Smith Center; his children, Laura Kingsbury (Rhett) of Smith Center and Lee Sweat (Michelle) of Cedar; his siblings, Vince Sweat (Judi) of Austin, TX, Don Sweat (Ronda) of Syracuse, NE, Jean Sweat of Smith Center and June Ankenbrandt of Olathe; and his grandchildren, Sierra of Smith Center, Kinser of Smith Center, Camber of Smith Center and Briggs Kingsbury of Smith Center.

Memorials may be given to the Smith County 4-H Club and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
