He was predeceased by: his parents, F. O. Nibarger (Ted) and Ethel Brown Nibarger (Dolly); his son Russell Nibarger; his brothers, Jim and Dannie; and his stepson John F. Tipton III.
He is survived by: his spouse Wylene Walker (Tipton); his daughter Cynthia Stone; his stepchildren, Terri Tipton and Keith Tipton; his grandchildren, Crystal Stringer of Parsons, Amber Helton of Parsons, Tricia Stone of Parsons, Matthew Nibarger of Parsons, Jessica Griffin (Joe) of Columbia, Missouri and Ryan Hovorka of Columbia, Missouri; and his brothers, Fred Nibarger and Ted Nibarger (Barbara). He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bruce Funeral Home (106 S Center St, Gardner, KS 66030). A masonic service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (555 W Main St, Gardner, KS 66030). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (300 1st St, Parsons, KS 67357).
Memorial contributions may be made to two of Tom's favorite organizations: the Abdallah Shrine Temple, Overland Park, Kansas or Divine Mercy Parish, Our Hope, Our Future fund.
