He was predeceased by: his parents, B. H. Smith and Clara Elizabeth Smith (Huffman); his former wife Gladys R. Hoffman; his daughter Frankie L. Sjolinder; his stepson Dennis L. Hosman; and his siblings, Clyde Smith and Mary Louise Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Agnes Marie Gassman; his daughter Sondra "Sandy" Smith; and his stepdaughter Linda Marie Steffen (Wayne) of Wichita, KS. He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren, and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
