With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Lue Valentine of Sterling, Kansas, born in Raymond, Kansas, who passed away on February 2, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Clifford Valentine; her daughter-in-law Lisa Valentine; and her siblings, Bob Cruth, Marion Cruth, Ralph Cruth, Ruby Locks, Jerry Cruth, Edith Capps and Alva Cruth.

She is survived by: her children, Gene Valentine (Edie) of Hutchinson, KS, Dennis Valentine (Lynn) of Sterling, KS, Ronald Valentine (Michele Abbott) of Hutchinson, KS and Sherry Trivitt (Gene) of Wichita, KS; and her grandchildren, Barbara Miller, Bryan Valentine, Randy Valentine, Steven Valentine, Kelly Morrison, Wesley Trivitt, Ashley Trivitt, Jeff Valentine and Katy Fawcett. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Reno County Hospice or Prairie Sunset Home in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
