He was predeceased by : his wife Marty; and his parents, Oliver John, Sr. and Mary Agnes Scheiner. He is survived by : his son Trey McDonald; his daughter-in-law Tammy of Overland Park, KS; his stepdaughters, Kelly of Lawrence, KS and Shelly of Katy, TX; and his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Quade, Carter, Stephanie, Darrin, Justin, Allison and Emily.

Less well known, O.J. made regular donations to those less fortunate and in need.
