She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert C. Messerly and Hedwig M. Messerly (Krug); her sons, Robert and Todd; her husband Bill Gene Phoenix; her children, Denice Phoenix and Patrick Phoenix; her brothers, Robert and Jerry Messerly; and her grandson Shaun Ruddle.
She is survived by : her children, Shannon Phoenix (Jim Doscher) of De Soto and Tonya Thayer (Shawn) of Olathe; her brother Don Messerly (Becky) of Sublette; her daughter-in-law Valerie Phoenix of Eudora; her grandchildren, Michael Crossman, Chase Thayer, Trey Thayer (Natalie), Taylor Matthews (Clark), Tasha Sabata (Preston), Tawnny Phoenix, Inde Phoenix, Salym Phoenix and Brosnan Phoenix; and her great grandchildren, Bowie Thayer, Grey Matthews, Evelyn Sabata, Anberlin Gabler, Ava Lynn Small and Phoenix White.
Memorials are suggested to USD 374 for the Little Larks Nest Daycare or Sublette United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
