Though John Charles may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John Charles touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Riedl, Sr. and Eleanor M. Riedl (Pelz); his daughter Jennifer Riedl; and his siblings, Robert Riedl and Joanne Reeves.
He is survived by: his children, Bruce Riedl (Kelsie) of Ellinwood and Sarah DeRango (Justin Corio) of Windsor, Colorado; his brother Frank Riedl (Brenda) of Great Bend; and his former wife Darlene Nulton (Rick) of Cheney. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home (415 N Main St, Hoisington, KS 67544). A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
