It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Hatcher in Syracuse, Kansas, who passed away on December 22, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gary may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwyn Hatcher and Hattie Hatcher (Pittman); his son Bart Hatcher; and his brother Darrell Hatcher. He is survived by: his children, Treg Hatcher (Karey) of Syracuse, Kansas and Robbin Verser of Syracuse, Kansas; and his sister Sandy Ellis (Wilbur) of Holly, Colorado. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Gary's contributions to the community extended beyond his work; he served on the Soil Conservation Board, the International Cowboy Feedlot Association, and the SECO Co-op Board, reflecting his commitment to the agricultural community and sustainable practices.
