He was predeceased by : his father Fred Alvin Newman; his former life partner Betty Newman (Powell); his daughter Paula Rodenburgh; his grandsons, Jason Newman and Christopher Butler; his mother Phillis Newman; and his siblings, Josh "Calvin" Newman and Evelyn Pruett.
He is survived by : his wife Charlotte Newman (Walker) of Syracuse, KS; his children, Don Newman (Teresa) of Colorado Springs, CO, Brenda Newman of Beloit, KS, Roger Newman (Sharon) of Syracuse, KS, Richard Newman of Strawberry Point, IA and Diana Peralta (Eric) of Sacramento; and his brother George Newman of Mesa, AZ. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
