It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George R. Forst Jr. of Tecumseh, Kansas, who passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George R. Forst, Sr. and Lenora M. Forst (Manges); his former wife Lou Ann; his wife Marguerite I. Schlink (Shineman); his daughter Jan Forst; and his brothers, David Forst, Jim Forst and Gilbert Forst.
He is survived by: his children, Ken Forst (Julie), Karen Wright, Tim Forst (Marla) and Dee Koenke (Robert); his grandchildren, Doug Layne, Christine Babcock, Adam Loeffler, Katie Werner, Annie Lubbers, Kevin Forst, Shannon Forst, Jeny Garst, Andee Garst and Shelly Garst; his great grandchildren, Cayden Lindsey, Cannon Lavan, Logan Babcock, Gareth Babcock, Parker Werner and A. J. Loeffler; and his brother Ted Forst.
Memorial contributions can be made in George's memory to St. Matthew Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
