He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Edington and Ethel Edington (Huffman); his wife Dixie A. Mattox; and his siblings, James, Rosalie, Florence, Charles "Billy", Leo "Bobby", Ralph and Imagene.
He is survived by: his sons, Danny Edington (Joyce) of Lecompton, David Edington (Tammy) of Topeka and Duane Edington (Leann) of Berryton; his grandchildren, Jerrod Edington (Jax), Jordyn Smith (Alan) and Charles Edington (Bella); and his great grandchildren, Jake, Jayson, Sam, Charlie, Weston, Watson and Wryatt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dove Cremations & Funerals - Southeast (2843 SE Minnesota Ave, Topeka, KS 66605). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Dove Southeast Chapel (2843 SE Minnesota Ave, Topeka, KS 66605). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Bowman-Adgate Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Good Samaritan Fund at Brookside Retirement Center, 700 West 7th St., Overbrook, Kansas 66524.
