She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Steichen and Theresa Steichen; her husband Walter Gasper; her daughter Susanne Thompson; and her siblings, Eugene, Charles, Raymond Steichen, Crescentia "Chris" Gasper, Margaret "Margie" Brummer and Loretta Gaunt.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Gasper of Ellsworth, KS, Janice Kohn of Swansboro, NC, Kenneth Gasper (Brigit) of Tipton, KS, Dan Gasper (Lois) of Stockton, KS, Kathy Houser (Gilbert) of Salina, KS, Richard Gasper (Rhonda) of Knoxville, TN, Roger Gasper of Salina, KS and Jolene Williamson (Olin) of Hutchinson, KS; her son-in-law Bill Thompson of San Angelo, TX; her sisters, Mary Ann Thummel of Downs, KS, Caroline Ellenz (Eugene) and Eileen Steichen; and her sister-in-law Arlene Steichen of Placentia, CA. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice or the St. Boniface Church.
