She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Abram H Anders and Donna Anders (Waltermire); her daughters, Kelly Schneweis (Christopher) and Marcy Norwich of Shawnee, KS; her brother Steve Anders of Suwanee, FL; and her grandchildren, James, Leah Schneweis, Nik and Zak Petterson.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations in her name to Villa St. Francis in Olathe, KS, or Interim Healthcare Hospice.

Linda Fortune wrote a sympathy message

“I loved Jody so much. She and I have been friends since 2000, when I was hired at Nordstrom. At first, we were just co-workers, then we became good friends. Until Jody's illness, we met every single month for as we called it "lunch, wine, and gossip." We had such good times together. She talked much about her beloved "Jimmy" who passed away I believe in December of 2018. She also talked about her love and friendship with her daughters Kelly and Marcy. Jody, I miss you!!! RIP”
