He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" Sr. Himpel and Margie Himpel (Coburn); his brother Arthur "Rocky" Himpel; and his brother-in-law Ron Bellman. He is survived by: his siblings, Mark Himpel (Debbie) of Tonganoxie, Jeff Himpel (Jacki) of Basehor, Georgina Bellman of Tucson, AZ, Beverly Wiles (Sam) of Tonganoxie, Susan Herrstrom (Jim) of Tonganoxie, Diane Bretthauer (Jerry) of Tonganoxie and Bobbi McClellan (Mike) of Tonganoxie; and his sister-in-law Mary Himpel of Tonganoxie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
