It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Beth Nelson of Tonganoxie, Kansas, who passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Armond Bechard and Adeline Bechard (Kepka); and her siblings, Charla Moos and Don Bechard. She is survived by: her husband J. D. Nelson; her daughters, Kelsey Gotsche (Adam) of Shawnee, KS, Kaylin Nelson of Overland Park, KS and Kinsey Nelson of Overland Park, KS; her grandchildren, Collins and Kyler Gotsche of Shawnee, KS; her brothers, Harold Bechard (Susan) of Salina, KS, Rich Bechard (Pam) of Lenexa, KS, Ray Bechard (Pam) of Lawrence, KS and Armond Bechard (Cindy) of Leawood, KS; her siblings-in-law, Dennis Moos of Grinnell, KS and Jan Bechard of Gardner, KS; and her parents-in-law, Richard and Barbara Nelson of Lawrence, KS.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, coworkers.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1100 West St, Tonganoxie, KS 66086). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (1100 West St, Tonganoxie, KS 66086).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in Mary Beth's name to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Mass intentions or to the PKD Foundation (Polycystic Kidney Disease), a cause meaningful to the family.
