He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth E. Johnson; his brother Eugene; his former wife Diane Sue McMurray; and his son Christopher James. He is survived by: his father Alvin B. Johnson; his wife Lynnette; his daughters, Kimberly Goodnow (Jeff), Kristin Perez (David) of Topeka, Kansas, Erika Whightsil (Randy) of Topeka, Kansas and Maeghan Miller (Patrick) of Kansas City, Missouri; and his brother David Johnson (Kathy) of Overland Park, Kansas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many beloved extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Lutheran Church, 1234 Fairlawn Road, Topeka, KS 66604.
