She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard "Ben" Stuke and Mary Haskamp Stuke; her spouse Adrian Joseph Wessel; her son-in-law Steve Short; her grandson Luke; and her siblings, Alvin and Mary Lou.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Schroeder (Dale), Joyce Henry (Chuck), Allan Wessel (Marianne), Janice Short, Brian Wessel, Connie Marcy, Ron Wessel and Denise Bigham (Bryon); and her siblings, Ray Stuke (Roberta), Ken Stuke (Cheryl), Elsie Beam (Lynn) and Jim Stuke (Janet). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home (2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka, KS 66614). A rosary was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church (3601 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church and sent in care of the funeral home.
