He was predeceased by: his parents, John DeMotte and Mildred Bolton DeMotte. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Gallagher; his daughters, Danielle DeMotte, Shannon Darrow (Matt), Jocelyn Field (Bruce) and Brynna DeMotte; his grandchildren, Avery, Harvey, Calvin, Myles Field, Colette and Lachlan Darrow; and his siblings, John DeMotte (Linda), Don DeMotte (Charlotte), Jim DeMotte (Sharon) and Juanita Roy (Bill).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home (2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka, KS 66614). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mater Dei Holy Name Church (1114 SW 10th St, Topeka, KS 66604).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mater Dei Catholic School Student Scholarship Fund and sent in care of the funeral home.
