With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Barbara Burgen of Topeka, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Barbara left this world on June 12, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle Wayne and Bernadine Ione Ernst (Reboul); her husband Kenneth Lloyd Burgen; her half-sister Betty Stannard; and her stepgreat-grandson Jacob Rake.
She is survived by: her children, Ken Burgen (Sherry) of Topeka and Sheri Rundell (Tony) of Bixby, OK; her grandchildren, Kenny Burgen (Misty), Shannon Hoskinson (Ryan) of Topeka, Tyler Burgen (Rick) of Wichita and Zach Rundell (Anna) of Tulsa, OK.; her stepgrandsons, Doug Rake and Kevin Rake (Dawn) of Topeka; her great grandchildren, Chelsey Burgen, Trinity Willett, Seth, Levi, Anna Hoskinson, Leo and Weston Rundell; and her stepgrandchildren, Zach Kelly (Rian), Kourtnie Feliciano and Kyra Tripe (Dalton).
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery (501 Franklin St, Clay Center, KS 67432). Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home (2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka, KS 66614). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center (501 Franklin St, Clay Center, KS 67432).
