With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Betty Lou Hunter of Topeka, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Smith and Carol Smith (Brandt); her husband James L. Hunter; and her brothers, Bill Smith (Judy), Kenny Smith and Eddie Smith (Debbie).
She is survived by: her children, Carrie Greer (Bobbie), Lynn S. Lopez, James L. Hunter Jr. (Beth), Randy K. Hunter (Jacquline), Anthony R. Hunter (Teresa) and Mike J. Hunter (Dawn); and her brother Joe W. Smith (Jane). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 26 great - grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Christ Lutheran Church or the American Legion Auxiliary of Kansas.
