He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Eakes and Pat Eakes; his mother-in-law Janet Kaufman Reynolds; and his sister Pamela Wendt. He is survived by: his wife Connie Eakes; his children, Matt Eakes (Kristie) and Sarah Scholes (John); his grandchildren, Rose Spielman of Topeka, Aspen Scholes of Topeka and Violet Scholes of Topeka; and his sister Paula Jacobs.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Parker-Price and Davidson (245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Parker-Price and Davidson Cremations and Funeral Services (245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608).
